The Trust manages 40 retirement bungalows and apartments at its Mayes Gardens almshouses in Ancoats, Manchester.

At Mayes Gardens you have your own front door and the freedom to live your life as you choose.

As a beneficiary of the Trust you pay a weekly maintenance contribution which pays towards the cost of managing and maintaining your accommodation.

Our accommodation at Mayes Gardens is managed by a Scheme Manager who is also a good neighbour and is available to offer support and reassurance to residents when required

The scheme manager ensures our accommodation is maintained and managed to a high standard and is dedicated to ensuring residents live in a peaceful and safe environment.

Your Security

24 hours a day, 7 days a week

We recognise that security and feeling safe is very important to older people, therefore our accommodation is designed with security in mind.

Our accommodation is protected by a modern CCTV system which monitors Mayes Gardens 24 hours a day.

All our properties are linked to a 24 hour emergency call system allowing residents to gain assistance at any time of the day or night in the event of an emergency.

By activating the alarm the resident alerts the support centre staff who respond quickly arranging for help to be sent.

Services include:

• 24 hour monitoring of residents alarms
• An emergency repairs service
• Monitoring of fire protection systems

In the event of an emergency our service centre will contact family, friends and the emergency services

The emergency call system offers residents peace of mind whether they have been taken ill, had a fall, or need assistance, there is always help on hand 24 hours a day.
